journal: war dance
As a class, we watch a documentary called war dance. This flim was about threes kids from northern Uganda where war has taken so much from, how music and dance help the kids get though the tragic events that happened in their lives.L the three main kids that told their stories are Nancy, Dominic, and Rose. Each of them had different experiences with the rebels in this country,some lost their parents and others lost their brothers and sisters. This flim brings you to tear as the children tell you how they lost their loved ones and how they just want everything back the way it was. As soon as you learn their stories you make a connection to each and every children, you feel what they feel and you how much US as American take for grant for the things we have. The team and the children advance to the national music and dance contest, you want them to do their best and them to win. The movie takes you though the contest , your hopes and dreams for them are really high and when some of the categories they win and some are lost. The feeling that they did this and made it so far makes you really proud of the people of Acholi tribe and the people of uganda.
